Smart Seismic System

Get rock-solid safety in the face of one of nature’s most powerful threats. The Smart Seismic System (SSS) uses the latest Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensor technology with an advanced 32-bit processor to detect and report seismic activity, while filtering out nuisance vibrations. The SSS provides signals to the controller, meeting all safety-code requirements.

With an internet connection, the system can provide email alerts to predetermined recipients for smart safety on shaky ground. For one, the Smart Seismic System includes a built-in pit-water sensor that can trigger email alerts to appropriate personnel. Optional wireless sensors, mounted on the cab, allow the SSS to measure and record vibration, tilt and acceleration for subsequent analysis—readings in excess of allowable limits can also trigger an email alert.
