Safe-T-Lock Door Monitor

• Monitor for shorts across door lock and car gate switch circuits

• Prevent the car from running once a fault is detected

Public safety

Reduces injuries and/or fatalities related to elevator movement by preventing car from moving if the car door is not closed. Car is prevented from moving if:

1. Car door contact is closed, or the circuit is bypassed
2. Interlock contact on hall door that is coupled to the opened car door is closed or the circuit is bypassed
3. Car door and interlock contact to the opened car door are closed or the circuit is bypassed

Code compliant

No need to modernize the entire system when / if the jurisdiction adopts ASME 17.3-2015 for existing elevators and escalators.
